MATERIAL AND CARE GUIDE
Etelle jewelry is crafted in Sterling Silver 925, 14K Gold, or 18K Gold and using Lab-Grown Diamonds.
For plated pieces, Etelle applies a premium plating process that is thicker than standard plating, along with a 100% nickel-free finish designed to minimize skin irritation. All small stones are carefully selected through a strict screening process, with lab-grown diamonds used as the standard option.
Etelle also offers a customization service, allowing materials and stone options to be adjusted according to your preference.
What Are Lab-Grown Diamonds?
Lab-Grown Diamonds are real diamonds created in a laboratory using advanced technology. They have the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds, making them identical in composition and structure.
Like natural diamonds, they are evaluated using the internationally recognized 4Cs—Carat, Color, Clarity, and Cut. With a Mohs hardness of 10, the same as natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds offer exceptional durability and resistance to scratches, maintaining their brilliance for years to come.
In addition to their outstanding quality, lab-grown diamonds offer a more accessible price point than natural diamonds, making them a modern and responsible choice for fine jewelry.
IGI Certification
Etelle provides an official International Gemological Institute (IGI) certificate for all lab-grown diamond jewelry featuring a center stone of 0.5 carats or larger.
Every lab-grown diamond selected by Etelle is carefully evaluated according to the internationally recognized 4C standards. We use only high-quality stones graded within the D–F Color and VVS–VS Clarity ranges, ensuring exceptional brilliance, purity, and lasting beauty.
The 4Cs of a Perfect Diamond

High-Density Premium Plating
Etelle's 925 sterling silver jewelry is finished with a <Premium Plating> process that is significantly thicker than standard plating, providing longer-lasting brilliance and a richer, more refined color. Unlike conventional flash plating, which applies only a thin layer of color to the surface, Etelle's premium plating creates a thicker protective coating that enhances resistance to everyday wear while helping maintain the jewelry's shine over time.
This protective finish also helps slow the natural oxidation (tarnishing) of sterling silver, enhancing both its durability and luster while protecting it from discoloration and surface wear. Please note that plating is not permanent. Over time, it may naturally wear depending on factors such as frequency of wear, lifestyle, storage conditions, and the passage of time. This is a normal characteristic of plated jewelry and should not be considered a manufacturing defect.
In addition, all Etelle jewelry is finished with a 100% nickel-free, hypoallergenic coating, making it comfortable for most people with sensitive skin. However, skin sensitivity varies from person to person. If you experience any irritation or discomfort while wearing your jewelry, please discontinue use immediately. When not in use, gently wipe away any sweat, moisture, or oils from the surface with a soft cloth. Once the jewelry is completely dry, store each piece separately in its individual pouch or jewelry box to prevent contact with other jewelry and minimize scratches.
Please note that slight surface scratches, tiny air bubbles, solder marks, and natural variations in the color, tone, or size of gemstones may occur during the jewelry-making process. These are considered natural characteristics of handcrafted jewelry and are not regarded as manufacturing defects, and therefore are not eligible for repair, exchange, or refund.
Wearing Precautions
- To preserve the beauty and brilliance of your jewelry, we recommend removing all jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
- Avoid direct contact with water, sweat, perfume, cosmetics, sunscreen, oils, alcohol-based products, and other chemicals, as they may cause tarnishing, discoloration, or a loss of shine.
- Repeated contact with metal objects or hard surfaces may result in scratches, plating wear, or deformation of the jewelry.
Care for Sterling Silver 925 Pieces
- All Etelle Sterling Silver 925 jewelry is finished with a protective plating to help reduce the natural oxidation of silver while enhancing its bright luster and refined color.
- Please note that the plated finish is not permanent. Over time, it may naturally wear depending on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, storage conditions, and friction.
- Do not use silver cleaners, silver polishing solutions, abrasive compounds, or harsh chemical cleaners on plated Sterling Silver 925 jewelry, as these products may damage or remove the plated finish.
- Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are also not recommended, as they may affect both the plating and the stone settings.
Care for Gold Pieces
- Etelle gold jewelry is crafted from 14K or 18K gold in Yellow Gold, White Gold, or Rose Gold. Gold is durable but may develop scratches or slight deformation from strong impacts or repeated friction.
- We recommend removing your jewelry before exercising, cleaning, washing dishes, or lifting heavy objects.
- To clean, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely.
- Avoid exposure to chlorine, swimming pools, hot springs, bleach, and other harsh cleaning agents.
After Wearing
- After each wear, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, dry cloth to remove sweat, oils, and any residue.
- If the jewelry becomes dirty, use a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap to carefully clean only the affected area.
- After cleaning, remove any soap residue, then dry the jewelry thoroughly before storing.
Storage
- Store each piece separately in the provided zip bag or jewelry pouch to help protect it from air, humidity, and contact with other jewelry.
- For best preservation, keep your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity, which can accelerate tarnishing and reduce its brilliance over time.
